Plot twist in transfers: PSV is losing millions of euros

1 min read

Last week, news emerged that defenders Armando Obispo and Adamo Nagalo were on their way out at PSV. Obispo was set to leave for about 5.5 million euros to RC Lens in France, and Nagalo for four million euros to Corum FK in Turkey.

Now, however, both transfers do not go through and as a result PSV misses out on almost ten million euros. That is reported by the Eindhovens Dagblad.

The ED reports in particular that Obispo himself could not figure things out with the French number 2 after both clubs last Thursday still managed to reach an agreement. First, RC Lens wanted to pay less, but in the end the French agreed.

Nevertheless, Obispo has therefore not come to terms with the French club and the defender is thus returning to PSV. However, it is not known why both parties did not reach an agreement.

In addition to Obispo, the transfer of Nagalo to Corum FK has also fallen through. The Burkinese defender appeared to be on his way to Turkey for four million euros, since he was allowed to leave PSV and an agreement had also been reached with the Turkish promoted team

According to Turkish media, the transfer is still set to fall through. Also Nagalo, who only made twelve appearances for PSV, will therefore return to the Netherlands.

Last season, the surplus defender was already loaned out to Konyaspor. That club would now like to loan him out again, but not pay the amount PSV wants for Nagalo.

"PSV Inside" makes me feel like we're one tweak away from peak. But if the fullbacks go forward, we better see quick recovery or itll get exposed every time. 🔥

I actually like the idea of more direct play through the wings, but i think they need better timing on the runs. Otherwise it turns into crossing practice, not a plan. 👀

"PSV Inside" looks promising, but did anyone else notice the tempo drops after the first 20 minutes? If that happens again vs tougher teams, they will get punished.👀

tbh i wonder if they are overplaying it when they reach midfield. Sangare looks like the shield, but sometimes he lets the press get too close, then it turns into panic passes. 🤡

That midfield balance sounds risky imo. If they dont control the second balls, Gakpo and Saibari will end up doing defensive work instead of creating chances. 🤡

If PSV keeps playing like this, Gakpo is gonna get even more space between the lines. The fullbacks were actually brave on the overlap, thats where the danger started for me. 🔥⚽

If PSV are really playing that high line again, i swear it only works if the 6 is disciplined. Till the press becomes coordinated, Ziyech-style switches will murder us.
