News from Germany: 'Bayer 04 Leverkusen once again knock at PSV'
1 min readLast summer, PSV sold midfielder Malik Tillman for around 35 million euros to German club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Now, after just one season, Tillman is again open to a move, as the American increasingly had to make do with substitute appearances during the second half of the season.
Now the German outlet BILD is coming out with the message that Die Werkself is on the verge of also approaching PSV in this transfer summer. No less than Sergino Dest would be in the picture to make a move to the Bundesliga club.
The team from Leverkusen is looking for an alternative since Bayer 04 is about to sell left-back Grimaldo to Atletico Madrid. As a result, the Germans would see Dest as an excellent replacement since the American can play both at left and right-back.
The PSV player is currently active at the World Cup on behalf of Team USA and has made an excellent impression so far. However, Dest is not the only defender Bayer 04 has in its sights.
The squad from the Ruhr area would also, among other things, look at Raphaël Guerreiro, Arsène Kouassi and Konstantinos Mavropanos. Guerreiro leaves after three years on a free transfer at FC Bayern München, while Kouassi and Mavropanos are under contract with Lorient and the relegated West Ham United.

If Dest is on the radar, PSV have to act like it is not a surprise. With Tillman already gone, losing another key profile would mess with the balance. I just hope they push a serious fee or keep him, because Dest in form at the World Cup boosts his price fast. 🔥
die Tillman-transfer van 35 miljoen voelt nu ineens als "we nemen genoegen met minder" als Dest straks ook weer weg kan. Tbh als Grimaldo inderdaad naar Atletico gaat, dan ruiken ze kansen, maar wij hebben toch ook een plan nodig voor vervanging.
Dest is echt een "goede fit" voor Leverkusen, want hij kan links en rechts. Maar man, als Bayer weer durft aan te kloppen dan wil ik eerst zien dat Dest bij PSV ook echt wordt doorontwikkeld, niet alleen verkocht voor winst.
Dest bij Leverkusen zou echt weer zo'n Feyenoord-achtige paniektransfer worden voor PSV, want waar laat je hem dan in de opbouw? Als Grimaldo echt richting Atletico gaat, is die link/rechtsprofiel van Dest wel precies waar Bayer voor gaat.
