Is an Italian bid of 30 million euros for Ricardo Pepi in the works?
1 min readAC Milan, Internazionale, but also Juventus have been mentioned at times as interested clubs for Ricardo Pepi. The American striker is on the shortlist to be sold this summer, but then of course the right amount will need to be put on the table.
Premier League club Fulham thought it had already reached an agreement with the American goalscorer but ended up being fooled anyway. Or maybe vice versa? PSV, in turn, came away from it as the one who was duped. Either way, it wasn’t meant to be, but the transfer summer is still far from over, so there is still a great deal to happen for the American striker, who in the United States has not yet been active as the first-choice striker for TEAM USA.
Meanwhile, it appears that Napoli is seriously interested in Pepi. Napoli watcher Fabio Cannavo reports this to the radio station Radio Marte. Napoli wants to rejuvenate and, if Romelu Lukaku can be sold, would like to offer thirty million euros for the American striker.
"Regarding the attack, Napoli is trying to sell Lukaku and Lucca," Cannavo says on Radio Marte, a local radio station from Naples. "If Napoli manages to do that, they will with full conviction go after Ricardo Pepi of PSV with a bid of thirty million euros."

Napoli and PSV had already been on the negotiating tables in previous seasons as well. Last season, Noa Lang made the move to Naples for around 30 million euros, and in 2019 PSV saw Hirving Lozano also leave for the Italian club for around fifty million euros. Earlier, it became clear that Napoli also has “serious interest” in PSV goalkeeper Matej Kovar.

I remember when Lozano went for 50m and now they're offering 30m for Pepi... thats either smart business or just disrespect lol. Pepi still needs to be first-choice for USA more, so maybe PSV think they can squeeze more from Italy. Also Matej Kovar rumours already, so Napoli are definitely shopping PSV.
30m for Pepi feels a bit low tbh. If Lukaku and Lucca are going out, Napoli should pay like it matters, but i can see PSV letting him go if the add-ons are right. Kinda scared they wait till the last week and push the price down.
