Fulham misses again | PSV fan dreams aloud: “Peter Bosz successor Ronald Koeman, Arne Slot to PSV”
1 min readCompletely unexpectedly and somewhere also somewhat unfairly, Arne Slot was dismissed by Liverpool last Saturday. Immediately, this news was followed by a host of reactions and speculations. AC Milan, Benfica and many other clubs were immediately linked to the coach from Zwolle.
PSV and Ajax were also mentioned for Arne Slot. It should be clear that there is currently absolutely no question of that, but many PSV fans are nevertheless talking loudly on social media about a future for Slot in Eindhoven. That such a scenario might become a reality is something that cannot be ruled out entirely either.
Meanwhile, Slot has rejected an offer to become head coach at Fulham. That is reported by the English outlet talkSPORT, a major radio station in England. In particular, the London club has more often missed out in recent months. To date, it has not been possible for Fulham to sign Ricardo Pepi from PSV, despite an earlier agreement with PSV.
Fulham is looking for a new head coach after Marco Silva’s departure, who is moving to Benfica. Slot was in the sights of The Cottagers, but he has set aside the chance to move to West London for himself.
TalkSPORT reported earlier this week that Slot might take a sabbatical in the coming season, but still the man from Zwolle will likely be linked to a whole host of clubs in the coming weeks and months. For a PSV fan on X, Slot’s sacking at Liverpool is at least reason to loudly dream about Slot coming to PSV.
The PSV fan has little to no confidence in Ronald Koeman, as blijkt from his post on X. 'Let Peter Bosz take over from Ronald Koeman after the second round in which Oranje is eliminated, then Arne Slot can take over from Peter Bosz at PSV', it says with the necessary imagination. Well, we can't rule out a call from Zeist to Bosz not later this summer, should Koeman actually start to fail with Oranje.

Bro the tactics on PSV Inside had me thinking, why are we leaving space between the fullback and the winger so often? When that gap opens, every opponent looks like they have a free lane to our box 😅⚽
That PSV midfield balance still looks shaky to me. If they want more control in games like this, someone needs to step up defensively when the fullbacks push high. Otherwise it turns into a transition festival.
If PSV really go with that midfield shape again, i feel like we will get bypassed in transitions. Tillman has to be brave off the ball, otherwise its just chaos.
If PSV really want to control games, we cant keep playing too safe in the build-up. Against real pressure, that first-pass quality needs to be sharper. Otherwise we end up inviting the counter.
If PSV want to win the middle, they have to press the second ball harder. tbh too many times the buildup turns into a slow walk for the opposition.
