The situation involving Ajax and Feyenoord provides extra motivation for Peter Bosz

Peter Bosz started preparing for the 2026/2027 season with PSV last Monday, in which PSV is going to have a go at the fourth consecutive league title. Even though Bosz is not yet able to call on the World Cup players, the coach is 'itching' to get started, according to PSV watcher Tim Reedijk of Voetbal International.

This also has to do with the current situation among the competitors in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Reedijk writes this in VI.

''Number two Feyenoord has a new coach and management. Coach Robin van Persie and director Dennis te Kloese have disappeared. The tandem Giovanni van Bronckhorst-Sipke Hulshoff has been appointed following Van Persie’s dismissal, while a new management has been put in place with Dévy Rigaux (technical) and Robert Eenhoorn (general)'', the journalist assesses.

The new Spanish technical staff at Ajax also ensures, according to the PSV watcher, extra motivation for Bosz. ''Technical boss Jordi Cruyff is also fully engaged in ongoing selection in the hope of closing the gap with PSV. In doing so, he does not shy away from giving priority to the short term, as evidenced by the interest in Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen. Naturally, the champions have a considerable lead at both the administrative and selection levels, but that gap can be closed with just one less-than-successful summer,'' Reedijk writes.

''That is why Bosz was bouncing with excitement last Monday to get started. On Saturday, PSV will train for the first time, but it is clear that the starting lineup that day is only a limited reflection of the PSV that Bosz is shaping as he prepares to go on the offensive in the fight for the fourth consecutive league title'', according to the PSV watcher.
