PSV winger speaks out: “I’m happy to be allowed to play here.”

Just like last season, PSV will also loan midfielder Tygo Land to FC Groningen in the 2026/2027 season. Despite a difficult start, Land worked his way into the starting lineup over the course of the season for the Pride of the North.

Because of this, coach Dick Lukkien towards the end of last season indicated that he hopes to be able to count on PSV’s talent again in the 2026/2027 season. Both Land and PSV gave their approval for a new loan period, meaning the midfielder will also wear FC Groningen’s shirt next season.

PSV’s talent is, in any case, happy to be allowed to wear the colors of the Groningen side for another season. ''Of course it is a very nice club, I’m glad to be allowed to play here. The previous half season was good. I laid a solid foundation and earned a great position in the team. From there, I can build further. It wasn’t rocket science. It was a logical choice,'' Land says to FC Groningen’s club channels.

The midfielder also looks back on the past season, in which Land had a tough first half-year. ''I don't yet have much experience in the Eredivisie; that's also a matter of getting used to it. I had to adjust to the level and the pace, and I needed some time for that. In the end, you can show more and more of yourself. In the last matches, I could increasingly leave my mark and start scoring goals,'' the PSV loanee continues.

In 2026/2027 as well, Land hopes to be able to extend the line from the second part of last season. ''I’ve laid a great foundation and now I need to take another step. If it’s up to me, that will be on many fronts. We’ll see where I will develop the most,'' said the midfielder.
