PSV fans react critically to the first designs of the new away kit for the 2026–2027 season

It is not necessarily the case that the first leaked publications of the new away kit for season 2026-2027 will be the actual new kit. This is emphasized by the now well-known outlet Footyheadlines.

It would involve a similar creation. However, the new away kit appears to be becoming predominantly white with orange accents. The new so-called third shirt, also an away kit and European shirt, is already known. The fan base has contributed to that.

Or better said, one particular supporter, who is still rather happy that his creation will be going to be the new away shirt for the coming season. The shirt can be called nice, chic and classic 'PSV-blue', or better said 'Philips-blue'.

PSV informed fans at the time that they could submit their ideas for the new third shirt. In the end, Dirk van Gaal was the winner. His design received more than thirty percent of the votes.

The dark blue checkered kit will be worn by PSV in the 2026/27 season during European matches. Van Gaal is enormously proud of the special selection. "I can hardly imagine that PSV, the club I have supported all my life, will be playing in my design", Van Gaal says, who in his day-to-day life works as a graphic designer. Up to now, the likely new home shirt still has not received appreciation from everyone, as evidenced by the reactions on X below.
