PSV fans react critically to the first designs of the new away kit for the 2026–2027 season
1 min readIt is not necessarily the case that the first leaked publications of the new away kit for season 2026-2027 will be the actual new kit. This is emphasized by the now well-known outlet Footyheadlines.
It would involve a similar creation. However, the new away kit appears to be becoming predominantly white with orange accents. The new so-called third shirt, also an away kit and European shirt, is already known. The fan base has contributed to that.
Or better said, one particular supporter, who is still rather happy that his creation will be going to be the new away shirt for the coming season. The shirt can be called nice, chic and classic 'PSV-blue', or better said 'Philips-blue'.
PSV informed fans at the time that they could submit their ideas for the new third shirt. In the end, Dirk van Gaal was the winner. His design received more than thirty percent of the votes.
The dark blue checkered kit will be worn by PSV in the 2026/27 season during European matches. Van Gaal is enormously proud of the special selection. "I can hardly imagine that PSV, the club I have supported all my life, will be playing in my design", Van Gaal says, who in his day-to-day life works as a graphic designer. Up to now, the likely new home shirt still has not received appreciation from everyone, as evidenced by the reactions on X below.

"PSV Inside" really nailed the balance issue, they had chances but the midfield spacing was messy. I think if they go with a tighter 8 and let the fullback jump earlier, the buildup becomes so much cleaner. That rotation needs to be sharper next match, fr.
🔥 This was peak PSV in the final third. When Till the overlap started, the whole right side looked dangerous. But defensively they still give the counter way too much space, teams will punish that.
I disagree with the idea that we need to change everything. If the 10 gets more touches between the lines, Zahavi-style link play will start looking dangerous. 🔥
"Inside" highlights the press, but i still think our build-up is a bit too slow. Go faster through the half-spaces and let the wingers run in behind, thats the fix. 💯⚽
If PSV go with that midfield setup again, we will struggle to control second balls. Tbh i love the intensity, but without better cover behind the fullbacks it feels risky. 😂
No idea why PSV keep trying to play out from the back when the press is this good. Tbh Veerman was the only one coping, Zahavi and Saibari kept getting turned too easily.
