NewsPSV bids farewell with a Walk of Fame tile
1 min readAfter ten years, PSV is saying goodbye to shirt sponsor Energiedirect.nl this season. The company became the shirt sponsor in 2016 after Philips announced in 2015 that it would step away from the shirt.
In 2019, when PSV played with Brainport Eindhoven on the front of the shirt, Energiedirect.nl disappeared to the back of the shirt, where it would remain until the 2021/2022 season. Since the 2022/2023 season, GoodHabitz has been featured on the back of the PSV shirt.
The departure of Energiedirect.nl, however, will not go unnoticed. On social media, PSV announces that the club will take leave of the sponsor on Sunday with a Walk of Fame tile for the PSV supporters, also known as the Twelfth Man.

🔥 Defensively i like the aggression, but the build-up looked shaky when the first pass under pressure wasnt on. Somebody needs to be brave on the ball, not just recycle.
If PSV want control, they cant rely on that slow build from the back every time. One press and youre scrambling, tbh.
If that midfield setup is true, i worry Schouten and Veerman will be too exposed in transitions. PSV need the press to start earlier or we will get punished on the counters. 👀
If PSV start like this again, with that press triggered high, we actually control the tempo. But i still worry about how we cover the inside spaces when the fullback steps up...
