Orange tones | 'The new away shirt for the 2026-2027 season'
1 min readThe medium Footy Headlines, for years well-known for announcing and publishing football shirts of clubs across all of Europe, has now published the new away shirt with which PSV will kick off the 2026-2027 season.
That doesn’t immediately lead to enthusiastic reactions, but as always we can only note that tastes differ.
The medium adds the following description to the new away shirt for the 2026-2027 season: 'Colors of the kit: The PSV away shirt for the 2026-2027 season will have an predominantly white base with bright orange accents.
'Orange accents: The vibrant orange color is expected to be used for the Puma logo, the PSV club emblem and possibly the sponsor logo of Brainport Eindhoven', Footyhealdines reports about the new away shirt.
The so-called third shirt for next season has already been announced earlier.

Footyheadlines also reports the following: 'Please note that the image only shows the base colors and does not represent a definitive design or a prediction based on leaked design data,' according to Footyheadlines. 'Earlier orange shirts: PSV has already used this specific orange accent color before, most notably on the away shirt from 2019-2020 with a checkerboard pattern,' the outlet points out.

On the bright side, the article is spot on about the tempo. The moment we play forward earlier we create those cut-back chances, and thats where PSV are at their best, 100% ⚽🔥
"PSV Inside" gaat echt, but ngl the midfield balance still looks a bit off. When we win the ball, we look dangerous, but when we lose it, it feels like chaos for 3 seconds straight 😂
i dont trust the backline when the build-up is slow. Koopmeiners pressure or even a direct switch and PSV look one step away from conceding... 👀
Gakpo on the left can be a cheat code when he drops between the lines. If Johan Bakayoko attacks the outside faster, the fullback is basically done for... 🔥⚽
Zou bedoelen dat the game plan is better than the execution. Tbh Luuk or whoever is supposed to start the build-up needs to be more secure on the first touch, because twice it looked like a free counter.
If PSV are going to press like this, the wide guys have to track back properly. Otherwise teams will just play straight through that middle channel.
"We have to be braver in possession" is correct tbh. But then why does PSV keep playing so vertical too early, it lets the press trap the wingers.
Im sorry but that PSV midfield control is overrated imo. If they are not winning the second balls, Luuk de Jong as a "plan B" will get zero service.
