New coach of Jordan Teze presented
1 min readIn the summer of 2024, Jordan Teze made the switch from PSV to AS Monaco. The Monegasques have found a new coach for the 2026/2027 season as a successor to Sébastien Pocognoli.
The club from Monaco has introduced Filipe Luis as the new coach. The former left-back from Brazil comes from Flamengo in his home country.
Earlier, the Brazilian was also in the picture as the new coach of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The team where former PSV player Malik Tillman is still active, however, backed away from his arrival because the coach does not have the right papers to work in Europe.
To do this, clubs have to pay 25,000 euros for every match that Luis is on the touchline as coach. For AS Monaco, this therefore doesn’t matter, and the club pays hefty fines for the first year and a half.
The Brazilian has signed a two-year contract. Next Wednesday, Luis will stand for the first time with the group, including Teze.

Jordan Teze bij Monaco en nu Filipe Luis. Tbh ben benieuwd hoe Luis met die backs gaat spelen, want hij stond zelf bekend als linksback met lef. Als Monaco snel omschakelt, kan Teze daar wel waarde in hebben.
Filipe Luis lijkt me echt zo'n coach die meteen druk zet. Maar als die papieren en die boetes verhaal waar zijn, dan klinkt het wel als gedoe achter de schermen. Hopelijk helpt dat Monaco niet tegen het spelritme dat ze zoeken met Teze.
