Guus Hiddink speaks out: "PSV will not let him go"
1 min readFormer PSV success coach Guus Hiddink has not escaped the fact that the KNVB must look for a new national team coach. Hiddink himself was national team coach of the Netherlands in the period 1995 to 1998 and 2014 to 2015.
Now that Ronald Koeman has stepped down, among other things the names of Arne Slot and Pep Guardiola are often mentioned as ideal successors. In addition, Peter Bosz is also mentioned despite the fact that the coach extended his contract with PSV until 2028 in February.
Hiddink also spoke out about the issue surrounding the appointment of Oranje’s national team coach. The former coach did this on camera for VoetbalPrimeur.

"Ik heb geen verantwoordelijkheid meer als bondscoach" vind ik wel grappig, hij kan nu gewoon lekker reality-checken. Wel jammer dat Peter Bosz nu meteen als doemscenario wordt gezien door de media. Toch: PSV is gewoon niet te koop.
Arne Slot vrij en Bosz "nee" is echt een duidelijke boodschap. Als PSV hem echt niet laat gaan, dan moet het ook meteen top geregeld zijn in de selectie, geen gepruts.
Arne Slot "is vrij" en Bosz "nee" klinkt eerlijk, maar tbh ik geloof pas dat Slot echt gaat als er niet meteen een plan staat. Bosz is hier net verlengd, dus dit is logisch. W.
Als de KNVB weer in paniek gaat speculeren, krijg je dit soort uitspraken. Maar eerlijk, Bosz tot 2028 is een commitment, niet zomaar een onderwerp voor Oranje.
Guus die zegt dat Bosz "nee" is, en meteen doorgaat naar Slot vind ik ook wel logisch. Alleen Arne vrij, ok, maar bij ons moet het talent ook eerst gekoppeld blijven aan een voetbalplaatje.
"PSV zal hem niet laten gaan" tbh dat is precies wat ik ook voel. Bosz is bij ons pas net verlengd tot 2028, laat die club dan ook zijn plan beschermen.
Guus die zegt "PSV zal hem niet laten gaan" voelt echt als een slot op de deur voor Bosz. Als KNVB belt, moeten ze vooral niet rekenen op medewerking van Eindhoven. 👀
