“Attacker makes a big impression during pre-season; colleague striker awaits PSV’s decision”
1 min readPSV has started preparations for the 2026/2027 season since 29 June, in which Peter Bosz's team is going for a fourth consecutive league title. During the preparations, striker Alassane Pléa leaves a good impression.
That writes the Eindhoven Daily. Pléa came last summer from Borussia Mönchengladbach and had a strong start at PSV.
On 17 August 2025, almost a year ago, however, disaster struck for the Frenchman during the match FC Twente - PSV (0-2). After a tackle by defender Robin Pröpper, the striker suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for the rest of the season.
In the 2026/2027 season, Pléa, who is under contract until mid-2028, hopes to be of great value to Peter Bosz’s team. It is still unclear what role the forward will be given, since PSV also still has Ricardo Pepi available as an option up front.
In addition, it is also still unclear what is going to happen with Myron Boadu. Boadu was on loan from PSV last season after Pléa got injured, and the striker was hardly able to impress in Eindhoven.
To keep his condition up to standard, the attacker still trains with Peter Bosz’s squad, and Boadu still hopes for a longer stay at PSV. The striker, however, waits patiently to see what decision the PSV management will make.

idk man, die blessure bij Twente (0-2, Pröpper) zat er echt hard in. Als hij nu weer meedraait betekent dat hoop, maar ik blijf voorzichtig. Met Pepi als alternatief in de spits wordt het anders wel heel competitief.
Pléa die weer indruk maakt in de voorbereiding is nice, maar ik wacht ook op het echte bewijs als die knie weer 100% is. Bosz kan met hem geweldig druk zetten, maar als het vertrouwen eraf is dan sta je meteen met een Plan B.
Plea die weer fit aanhaakt na die knie blow up, dat is echt belangrijk voor Bosz. Maar eerlijk, als Pepi ook startkansen krijgt dan gaat het voor Plea niet makkelijk worden, tenzij Bosz hem in een specifiek systeem gooit. 👀
