As mentioned, the news reports about the renewed and significantly larger Philips Stadium are also being watched abroad.
On YouTube, the editorial team of PSV Inside came across a promotional video from an English platform. The video had meanwhile already been viewed more than 113,000 times. What stands out is that the front of the new Philips Stadium, the future main entrance, already has the third star on it.
PSV Eindhoven is working on one of the most ambitious stadium expansions in Europe. The iconic Philips Stadium could grow from approximately 35,000 to nearly 58,000 seats—on its current, historic location in the city center.
But it’s not just about adding more seats. The project includes a completely new exterior shell, a third tier on all four sides, and a design that aims to bring the stadium closer to the surrounding city.

The way they describe the build-up looks convincing, but i worry about turnovers under pressure. Get that first pass clean, and it turns into a right-hand-side problem for the opponent every time 🚀⚽
Lol watching PSV fans argue this is my favourite hobby. If they keep creating those channels for the wide forwards, they will absolutely hurt you. If not, it turns into cross-and-pray. 😂
tbh the biggest question for me is the game management. If PSV are ahead, they should kill transitions faster, not invite pressure in the last 20.

"PSV Inside" saying the wingers must stay higher is true, but then they need runners in behind too. Otherwise it just becomes predictable recycling.
I still dont see how PSV can be so stable defensively without the full-backs staying disciplined. If one of them jumps early, the counter is right there.

The quote about being "brave in possession" sounds nice, but tbh the risk is losing it in the wrong zones. Against bigger opponents, those turnovers get punished fast. 🤬
That PSV Inside bit about pressing triggers was spot on. When they step up as a unit, you can feel the midfield get pinned.
I am not convinced about the midfield balance. If the double pivot is too flat, teams will just play through the half-spaces and PSV will chase shadows. imo we need one more runner to support the fullbacks. 🙄
