Does PSV beat Feyenoord? 'PSV is also interested'
1 min readFeyenoord has some money to spend this summer as well, although not the amounts that PSV can afford on the national and international transfer market. Whether Feyenoord also allows itself a competitor of PSV on the national and international transfer market can be guessed...
Currently, the Rotterdam club is focusing on the arrival of Mika Mármol. The outlet FR12 reports this. The transfer-free Spaniard has a ‘serious offer’ in hand and can therefore make the move to Rotterdam-South. Mármol is a left-footed centre-back who can also play as a left-back. According to Mounir Boualin of SoccerNews, PSV is also keeping an eye on the situation.
Feyenoord wants to strengthen its defense this summer, and technical director Dévy Rigaux has made an approach to Mármol for that purpose, as FR12 reports. The 24-year-old centre-back and defender has been under contract in recent years with Las Palmas, who play in the second Spanish tier. Feyenoord would also have competition from Olympiacos and perhaps therefore from PSV.

Mármol followed his youth training at FC Barcelona, but left in 2022 for the club of Gerard Pique, FC Andorra. Las Palmas was interested in the defender and made almost two million euros available for Mármol.
Besides Feyenoord, PSV has also Mármol on the list. That’s what Boualin reports, but whether it’s true or an easy rumor that was thrown into the world, we’ll leave in the middle. In the meantime, the interest would be 'on a low burner', according to the transfer journalist, who, as is customary, adds that PSV is still keeping an eye on the situation surrounding Mármol. Well, that’s how it often goes at SoccerNews...

Defensively, i am not convinced yet. When PSV sit too deep, teams like to pull us wide and cross into the box, and thats where we have been sloppy lately. Still, if the wingbacks push at the right time, we can bully them 90+ style. W even with the risk 👀
I think the key is the wingers holding width longer before cutting in. when they do it, our buildup looks calmer and we create better shots on goal, not just "hope passes" 👀⚽
I like the idea of rotating up front, but tbh it depends on how Xavi and the midfield protect the half-spaces. If the 8-10 link is off, it will look great for 20 minutes and then fall apart 💀
"keep it simple in the final third" is exactly what we need. Stop forcing the fancy pass when Gakpo or Tillman has the better angle. Make the next touch count, then we get chances on repeat 🔥⚽
LOOOOOOL if we are switching shapes that much, then bringing the fullbacks high only works if the DM actually covers. otherwise its 2v2 chaos and we end up chasing shadows 🤡
"We need to be more ruthless in the box" is true, because too many chances end up as awkward cutbacks. imo the next step is faster decision-making between the lines, not just more crosses 🔥
idk how PSV keeps looking so open in midfield. if that article is right about the press, we need better spacing behind the first line, otherwise it turns into a highlight reel for the opponent 💀
Eens. But i gotta be honest, if the article is hinting the tactics are too rigid, we will get punished by pace on the counter. Need more vertical runs from the wide areas, not just possession sideways 😅
If PSV really play with that high press again, i just want Sangare to win the first duel. When he looks composed, the whole team breathes better. Big test though, because they cant leave the back line exposed after turnovers.
