Ziggo Sport analyst takes up the case for PSV: 'It’s right that they’ve gone'
1 min readIn the previous round, the match Ajax - PSV was on the schedule and ahead of this clash, a lot was discussed about the trip of Peter Bosz's squad to Ibiza. One analyst was quite critical, while the other thought it should be allowed.
Valentijn Driessen was one of the analysts who was not happy about PSV’s Ibiza trip, while René van der Gijp believed it should simply be allowed. Also Ziggo Sport analyst Wesley Sneijder joins the list of analysts who defend the outing.
This makes the former midfielder’s position unmistakably clear in Rondo on Ziggo Sport. Sneijder is therefore also convinced that PSV did not travel to Amsterdam any less sharp for the clash with the rival.
''I don’t think that’s the case. If you play with PSV in a full Arena. It’s always fun to play against Ajax. Especially if you’ve already won the title. Then the pressure is off, right? So what’s the difference with that ten to twenty percent more sharpness? Should? That creates more pressure, doesn’t it? They play well even without pressure. And I think everyone at PSV that evening really wanted to beat Ajax. And you’ve been on Ibiza'', Sneijder says in Rondo.

The record international therefore also cannot agree at all with the criticism that Peter Bosz's squad received in advance of this trip. ''It's right that they went. All those vinegar-lickers should stop that. PSV can do nothing about the fact that they were already champions five matches before the end. Right? Go on, celebrate'', Sneijder continues.
