PSV sees a promising talent leave for another Eredivisie club
1 min readSami Bouhoudane appears to be in his final weeks as a player for PSV. The 18-year-old striker is going to sign a contract with SC Cambuur, according to the X account WFCGRONINGEN.
Bouhoudane still has a contract with PSV until mid-2027. Earlier, Voetbal International reported that the Frisians allegedly have two hundred thousand euros available to take over the easily scoring forward of the reigning champions.
Bouhoudane and PSV have not yet spoken about a contract extension, and the youth product would have ears for the domestic move himself. That therefore seems to be coming, if we are to believe the latest rumors.
The striker, who recently decided to play his international matches for Morocco instead of Oranje, was on target sixteen times last season. He scored seven goals in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, while he found the net four times in the UEFA Youth League.

According to WFCGRONINGEN , Cambuur is also keeping an eye on the situation of Isaac Babadi. The 21-year-old midfielder recently told the Eindhovens Dagblad that he would like to stay playing football in the Netherlands."In the Eredivisie, many coaches' views match the things I’m good at. A lot of teams play 4-3-3 and build from the back. Besides, I speak the language and I don’t fall behind in that."

"In the Eredivisie, the vision of many coaches matches the things I'm good at." Fair, but that quote screams he wants stability and language. If PSV doesnt give Babadi minutes and Bouhoudane a plan, other clubs will keep taking our kids.
Two hundred thousand euros and "easy-to-score forward"... feels like PSV missed the timing. If he is a true finisher, we should be monitoring every touch in the Youth League, not letting him walk to a smaller club.
Morocco decision makes sense for him, but leaving so early after 16 goals is rough. In PSV terms, i wouldve expected at least one integration cameo in the first team before cashing in.
Babadi saying he wants to stay in the Netherlands makes total sense, but ngl it also sounds like PSV are dragging their feet. If 4-3-3 and the way coaches build matches what he is good at, maybe we should actually align our setup with our own youth instead of letting them shop around. 👀
"final weeks" is rough... especially for an 18-year-old with 16 goals. Cambuur having 200k available feels like peanuts compared to what PSV pays for first-team targets. Dont tell me he could not get minutes here if he is that productive.
I get the move, but man 200k for an 18-year-old who scored 16 times is crazy low value imo. Hopefully PSV has a sell-on or a buy-back, because his ceiling feels bigger than Cambuur.
If Sami really goes to Cambuur, thats such a Dutch move... but i get it. 16 goals last season for a young striker is not nothing, and PSV might not have a clear route for him right now. Still, i hope we have a buy-back or sell-on clause, because he feels like a future striker we will regret losing.
