Praise for Sven Mijnans: “We know what he can do”
1 min readSince last Monday, Sven Mijnans may officially call himself a PSV player. Mijnans has signed a contract with PSV running until 2031 and has already trained with the team.
PSV has laid down thirteen million euros for the midfielder who has arrived from AZ. PSV coach Peter Bosz is also pleased with the transfer of Mijnans.
This was told by the training instructor to the camera of VoetbalPrimeur. ''Sven trained with us for thirty minutes, only the first part of the session'', Bosz said.
For PSV and Bosz, the midfielder is no stranger. ''Of course I know him. Over the past three years we have played against him and even before that, at Sparta, I had already seen him'', the coach continues.
In addition, Bosz is impressed by the qualities of the new PSV signing. ''We know what he can do; I don’t need those thirty minutes on the training pitch for that. I really think he’s a very good player, and if not, then I don’t think PSV would have gone after him,'' concludes the coach.

Investeren 13 miljoen voor dertig minuten kennismaking en Bosz blijft erbij: cap of peak, tbh. Ik hoop dat hij tempo toevoegt en niet alleen de bal veilig rondspeelt. Anders is 2031 wel heel lang voor een mid die nog moet wennen.
Begrijpelijk dat Bosz hem kent, maar ik wil wel resultaten zien, niet alleen training-momenten. 0 doelpunten of assists zeggen nog niks, maar 13 miljoen vraagt wel om directe bruikbaarheid.
Bosz zegt letterlijk "We weten wat hij kan" en eerlijk, dat voelt als vertrouwen dat meteen klopt. Als hij ook maar een deel van AZ-niveau haalt, dan is dit echt een slimme upgrade voor het midden. 🔥
"We weten wat hij kan", eindelijk eens een club die durft te betalen voor kwaliteit. Als Mijnans zijn duels wint en tempo vasthoudt dan is dit een upgrade voor ons midden.
30 minuten en dan al zo'n lof, Bosz is echt overtuigd. 13 miljoen is ook niet niks, dus ik verwacht dat hij snel impact maakt op het midden.
