News about Ismael Saibari | Is the departing PSV player fit in time?
1 min readThe now departed from PSV Ismael Saibari is still active with Morocco at the World Cup in North America. On Thursday evening at 10 p.m. Dutch time, the Moroccans will take action against title favorite France in the quarterfinal.
In addition, the Atlas Lions will not be able to call on Saibari. The midfielder was already injured midway through the first half in the match against Canada (0-3), so he is not fit in time.
This made national team coach Mohamed Ouahbi known at the press conference ahead of the match against Les Bleus. In recent days, Saibari has trained individually using a recovery program.
Despite this, the midfielder is therefore not fit in time and the player who has moved to FC Bayern München will thus have to watch the match from the sidelines. Saibari was at this World Cup in every group-stage match at least on target for a goal.

With a victory, Morocco qualifies for the semifinals of the global final tournament for the second World Cup in a row. At the previous World Cup, this was where their journey ended when France proved too strong with a 2-0 scoreline for the Atlas Lions.
The winner of the France - Morocco duel will face Spain or Belgium. That match is scheduled for Friday evening at 9 p.m. Dutch time.
