Peter Bosz on Serie A rumors

Last week, there were rumors from Italy that Ivan Perisic might be flirting with a return to Inter Milan. Perisic was previously under contract with the Nerazzurri club from Milan between 2015 and 2022 and, according to various Italian media, would like to return.

Currently, the Croat is enjoying vacation since the PSV player was eliminated in the round of 16 with Croatia due to Portugal in a controversial match. Perisic scored for the Portuguese side to make it 0-1, but with Croatia he still had to come out on the losing end against the team of Cristiano Ronaldo & co.

In conversation with Eindhovens Dagblad, coach Peter Bosz goes deeper into the rumors surrounding the 37-year-old Croat, who has been appointed by Bosz as second captain behind Mauro Junior until Jerdy Schouten returns from his serious injury. Despite his departure clause, Mauro is currently still a PSV player, just like Perisic.

''You shouldn't believe everything you read about him,” Bosz says in the ED about Italian reports that the Croat would absolutely want to move to Serie A.

According to the training coach, the Croatian international doesn’t need to be told everything he has to do. ''He’s already fully on the move and is playing a few more matches in Croatia with former pros, before he returns. Ivan knows what he has to do. He is 37 and I don’t need to explain to him what I would do with a 19-year-old'', Bosz said.

Last winter, Perisic was also frequently linked to a return to Italy. Despite this, the Croat remained loyal to PSV and, for the second time in a row, the versatile winger managed to make PSV champions of the Netherlands.
