Lots of praise for the purchase: “A great guy”

Since a week and a half, Sven Mijnans is officially allowed to call himself a PSV player after PSV took over the midfielder for thirteen million from AZ. Last weekend, Mijnans already made his first unofficial minutes in the PSV kit during the friendly match against Raków Częstochowa from Poland.

According to PSV watcher Rik Elfrink from Eindhovens Dagblad, the midfielder is also an excellent fit for PSV. Elfrink says this in the podcast Heet van de Herdgang of the ED.

''Myans is a great guy for PSV. In everything, the step from AZ to PSV is logical'', the journalist says about the transfer that, unlike last summer, has now actually happened.

In addition, the reporter believes that it is good that the midfielder has not left for abroad. ''I also think that he can already be quite influential in the group. He is not yet the big leader, but he is already 26, so he has already experienced a lot and it is nice that he did not choose to go abroad'', Elfrink continues.

Abroad there was also plenty of interest in the newly appointed PSV player, so the PSV watcher knows. ''He could indeed go to bigger clubs. In Germany, Italy, he could have signed for the top division with great clubs, but he didn't do that. Many people have already forgotten Mijnans and want new signings again, but patience is a virtue,'' the journalist said.
