1 min readIsmael Saibari plays with Morocco the second match at the 2026 World Cup against Scotland. As in the match against Brazil (1-1), the PSV player, who will leave for FC Bayern Munich, scores against Scotland in a superb way already in the second minute to make it 0-1.
The midfielder who in Boston once again starts as a false striker, evades the offside trap of the Scottish defense after which the ball was struck hard behind goalkeeper Angus Gunn. For Saibari, this means yet another second goal at this World Cup.

Two goals at this World Cup already, wow. That run behind the line and the finish suggests he has the instincts of a striker, even if he is technically a midfielder.
tbh als hij zovaak dat valse spits moment pakt, dan moet PSV hem dit soort loops ook in de CL setup blijven geven. Laat hem vertrekken naar Bayern, maar keep that movement.
Saibari ontsnapt aan die buitenspelval alsof hij de lijn gezien heeft. Het is niet eens alleen snelheid, zijn afwerking op Craig Gordon is hard en precies. Wel vraag ik me af of Schotland hier tactisch echt geen antwoord op had.
i swear hij heeft echt een extra gear in toernooien. Tegen Brazilië 1-1 en nu weer raak, dit keer voor 0-1. Als Bayern hem oppakt, tbh wat een banger voor ze.
"al in de tweede minuut" echt peak Saibari. i wonder of hij dit doet omdat Marokko hem zo durft te laten prikken tussen de linies, of omdat hij gewoon altijd net te snel is voor verdedigers.
Saibari blijft maar scoren op WK, btw. Die ontsnapping uit de buitenspelval tegen Schotland is textbook, hard achter Gordon. Ben benieuwd hoe Bayern dit in gaat passen.
0-1 na 2 minuten is echt bruut 🔥 Saibari start weer als valse spits en straalt gewoon lef uit.
