Eredivisie club comes in to Jesper Uneken
1 min readAfter a season on loan at fellow province club RKC Waalwijk, striker Jesper Uneken can definitively leave PSV. On April 6, 2024, Uneken made his debut for PSV’s first team and the striker was immediately on target in the home match against AZ (5-1).
Despite this, the striker, partly due to the fierce competition, was never able to break through at PSV and for that reason Uneken may also leave the club management. According to the daily newspaper De Limburger, Fortuna Sittard would have an interest in taking over the PSV striker.
At the Fortunezen, Kaj Sierhuis will in fact leave for NEC and Paul Gladon for NAC Breda. As a result, the club from Sittard has to look for new strikers and, as a consequence, club management has come out with Uneken.
Besides PSV’s striker, Lequincio Zeefuik from AZ is also mentioned as a possible addition. ''The Eredivisie club would like to welcome both players,'' the newspaper writes.
However, it is not yet a foregone conclusion that Uneken will wear Fortuna's shirt next season, since PSV and the club from Sittard were not even in agreement this week about the transfer fee for the striker. In addition to interest from the Eredivisie club, there are various clubs from Europe that would have an interest in Uneken.

Als PSV hem laat gaan, dan moeten ze wel iemand terughalen die meteen rendement geeft, anders blijft het weer gokken in de spits. Zeefuik erbij noemen is iig een signaal, maar het moet wel kloppen.
Je zag het wel aankomen: debuteren kan, maar elke week in de basis bij PSV is weer iets anders. Als Fortuna nu ook nog Sierhuis en Gladon kwijt is, dan is Uneken wel de logische call. 💯
"de Eredivisionist wil beide spelers graag verwelkomen" klinkt lekker, maar ik ben benieuwd wat PSV precies krijgt voor Uneken. Als ze geen akkoord hebben over de transfersom, dan ruikt dit naar een onderhandeling die nog pijn gaat doen.
tbh dit ruikt naar een klassiek PSV-verhaal: talent die z'n momenten pakt maar nooit echt doorbreekt. Debuut op 6 april was netjes, maar als hij nu wél speelt bij Fortuna dan is dat winst. ⚽
idk... lijkt me zonde om hem na die AZ goal al af te schrijven, maar PSV heeft gewoon te veel concurrentie voor die plek. Als Fortuna hem haalt en hij speelt wekelijks, dan is dat voor zijn ontwikkeling wel top.
Uneken was bij die AZ-wedstrijd echt meteen raak, 5-1 is niet zomaar een debuut. Maar als je bij PSV niet doorbreekt, dan is definitief laten gaan soms gewoon logisch. 👀
Uneken scoorde meteen tegen AZ (5-1) en dat vergeet je niet. Maar ja, concurrentie bij PSV is moordend... Als Fortuna hem kan gebruiken, is het misschien de beste stap. 👀
