Peter Bosz disagrees: ‘The fans are laughing at you mercilessly.’

Peter Bosz has been downright delighted with the four matches in the Champions League semi-finals. In an in-depth interview with ESPN, Bosz was, among other things, asked about the attacking playing styles of in particular FC Bayern and Paris Saint - Germain.

Peter Bosz therefore doesn’t even agree with Valentijn Driessen. The journalist from De Telegraaf expressed criticism of the European powerhouses after the Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, due to the lack of defending, but Bosz doesn’t want to hear any of that.

Driessen was asked on Wednesday evening on Vandaag Inside about the matches in the Champions League semi-finals.  The football editor of De Telegraaf had enjoyed the matches, but after seeing the match he also put forward a few reservations. “You may also defend, you know. That isn’t forbidden,” Driessen replied.

Kenneth Perez brings up the match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern in the interview with Peter Bosz and goes back to the words of Driessen. "If you watch a match like that on Tuesday, where everyone enjoyed it. There are a few who then say: they aren't defending. But those forwards are so incredibly good...", Perez points to Driessen.

Bosz, who also fully enjoyed the clash between both European teams, understands nothing of the words of, among others, Valentijn Driessen, and lashes out. "If someone still dares to say that, then he’s going to be talking about defending. Then you make that person laugh their head off, and you can never take them seriously again in their life?", as a clear Peter Bosz said.

On the question of whether a Dutch club could ever match the level of a Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain, Bosz is clear. "We will never be able to build a team, the way Luis Enrique has been doing for years with Paris Saint-Germain. That you really still look for a top player in a number of positions. With us, the best players leave after a good year, so we have to start over every year", said Peter Bosz, who last week did say he would like to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League with PSV.
