Sweden points to Joey Veerman

In the past season, Joey Veerman had a strong season at PSV, which among other things earned him the title Player of the Year from the magazine Voetbal International. This is what the Swedish forward tells De Telegraaf. ''He was the best player on the Heerenveen team that I played for. After that, he did incredibly well at PSV. He is really a fantastic player'', said Nygren.

Besides Veerman, the Sweden forward also played in his time at sc Heerenveen with Jan Paul van Hecke and, likewise, Nygren has nothing but praise for the central defender. ''He has developed brilliantly. The fact that he is now a regular starter with the Netherlands national team and that he has already been a solid central defender in the Premier League for several seasons is impressive,'' the Swede said.
