Bizarre footage | Telegraaf journalist Wout Weghorst is rightly being criticized
1 min read'This isn't necessary, Jeroen,' a fan of FC Twente is probably wondering after the end of FC Twente - PSV.
The fan of presumably FC Twente points journalist Jeroen Kapteijns to a post on social media about Wout Weghorst. Well, Wout has supporters and opponents. For now, there’s no sign of that changing, and it seems Weghorst is fine with that too.
It is not necessarily the case that Kapteijns is an opponent of Weghorst, but the journalist from De Telegraaf did take a quick swipe at the Tukker, who in turn also behaved in a striking way at the start of the second half in Enschede. Yes, in fact, Kapteijns burns the Tukker by way of his post on social media.
It became clear soon on Sunday afternoon after the end of FC Twente - PSV that not everyone is looking forward to Weghorst’s behavior, but it also became clear that the Tukker still has enough sympathizers to fall back on. Weghorst is unique, Weghorst is himself, and Weghorst is an emotional personality. Yet the Tukker also raises a lot of resistance, as journalist Jeroen Kapteijns of De Telegraaf also shows.

Why may a journalist not air his or her opinion? That certainly applies to Jeroen Kapteijns, a widely respected journalist for De Telegraaf. The PSV watcher and PSV follower was surprised Sunday afternoon by the conduct of Mr. Wout Weghorst, who simply likes to be in the public spotlight.
Praying, kneeling, reading but also just showing a bit of strange behavior—it's in Weghorst, who does very little harm to others but does receive resistance to his sometimes noticeable behavior.
There Kapteijns finds something in it, and that is logical, deserved, normal and acceptable to call it. Look for yourself at the images of Wout Weghorst just before the start of the second half of FC Twente - PSV. In fact, Weghorst is scorched and condemned by the journalist from De Telegraaf, who has already on a number of occasions made clear that he has little regard for the sometimes debatable behavior of Weghorst.

Goal!! 🔥
Nah, that quote about being
Ok but that switch of play is what made the difference, the winger actually pulled the marker and the overlap came in clean. Give me more of that and less drifting in the half-spaces, tbh. ❤️🚀
"PSV Inside" makes it sound like the squad is fine as is, but im not convinced. The fullbacks looked a step behind in the buildup, and it turns every counter into chaos. Do they trust Saibari enough to start consistently, or is it just patchwork? 👀
If PSV are going to keep playing that high press, i really hope the midfield screens the center better. Last few games we got punished as soon as the first pass beat the line, and Luuk de Jong cant cover that on his own. ⚽🔥
The lineup talk about pressing high sounds nice, but tbh we have to be ready for the counter through the half-space. If Lozano is not tracking, that is a problem.
If PSV actually go with that midfield setup, im worried we lose control again after 60 minutes. Propper needs to be more brave carrying the ball, not just recycle.
