Yet another deflected transfer for PSV, the fourth
1 min readLast month, outgoing transfers for defenders Armando Obispo and Adamo Nagalo fell through, meaning both players returned to PSV. The transfer of Couhaib Driouech to Rangers FC also fell through. Earlier this year, the transfer of Pepi to Fulham also fell through.
That is reported by Eindhovens Dagblad and Voetbal International. Earlier this week, Driouech was still on his way to Glasgow for his medical check-up and on Thursday evening he was still at Ibrox for the European match against Jagiellonia Białystok (1-1) from Poland.
Where PSV and Rangers FC had gone on at length about the transfer of the left winger, both sides still did not manage to reach an agreement. PSV would have received around eight million euros from the Scottish club, but that, so it turns out, is off the table.
According to Voetbal International, it is unclear why the transfer was finalized precisely. In addition, the attacker will return to PSV soon.
Now it has to become clear what will happen in the coming period to the player, who at PSV has no prospect of playing time. Also Spanish side Celta Vigo was interested and possibly there is a chance that the Spaniards will try again.

Key takeaway for me: we looked better when the wide players stayed pinned and the 8 moved into the pocket. Too often we drifted, and then Sangare had to mop up instead of dictating play. Need more patterns for the last third, not just individual flashes 💯
"PSV Inside" should show more about how Pepi links up. When he drops into the half-space, defenders follow him and suddenly our fullback has space to run. If the article doesnt mention that, its missing the point 👀
i liked the PSV Inside angle on the midfield spacing, but tbh if we dont fix the press triggers we get cooked on transitions. Tilting the defensive line higher only works if Sangare and Veerman are on the same page 🔥
