Still unclear about the future of the trio
1 min readAlongside the interest PSV has shown in Filip Kostić and Lutsharel Geertruida, it remains to be seen what will happen with Couhaib Driouech, Joël Drommel and Isaac Babadi. The last two mentioned will normally leave, and a departure is also among the possibilities for Driouech.
Drommel was loaned out by PSV to Sparta Rotterdam last season and, normally, will be on his way out due to competition from Matej Kovar and Nick Olij. Earlier this week, the news emerged that FC Twente has made contact with the goalkeeper about a possible return.
Van Driouech is known to want to make more appearances in the 2026/2027 season. However, partly due to the fierce competition on the left wing, the chance seems rather small that the forward will still have any prospect of playing time.
Driouech would also be in the sights of Celta de Vigo from Spain and Genoa FC from Italy. However, it is not clear whether these clubs want to sign the PSV player permanently or only want to loan him.
It became clear fairly quickly that Isaac Babadi would not get a place in Peter Bosz's squad for the 2026/2027 season. Last season Babadi was loaned by PSV to Royal Antwerp FC and, likewise, there the midfielder could not make much of an impact.
Now the club management of PSV wants to push for a definitive transfer for the youth player who made his debut in 2023 and was predicted to have a great future. Earlier it became known that the promoted side Willem II may have an interest in Babadi.

Babadi is echt zonde als we hem opnieuw laten rondzwerven. Als Bosz geen plek ziet, oké, maar dan meteen goed handelen, Willem II of anders een echte transfer. goated plan if they can finally cash in en een club vinden waar hij meteen speelt. 💯
Drommel-Twente is typisch zo'n "koopje als het schuurt" situatie. Wel benieuwd of PSV opnieuw een keeper-constructie wil, of dat ze nu echt voor stabiliteit gaan met Kovar/Olij. 👀
tbh Driouech heeft gewoon een verhuur nodig die werkt. Hij wil minuten, maar als we nu al linksbuiten vol hebben dan is het toch weer bank/tribune? 🤡
Kijk, Drommel is al zo goed als weg. Twente die contact zoekt is toch logisch, maar als Kovar en Olij ook echt blijven, dan is het pijnlijk om Drommel nog te zien.
