Spanish journalist: “PSV in talks with Girona”, Ajax fan responds with lots of frustrations

A Spanish journalist reports interest from PSV in a player from La Liga relegation team Girona FC. To be precise, it concerns Alex Luna, a Catalan journalist who writes for SER Catalunya, DAZN and Mundo Deportivo.

PSV sees a future in Azzedine Ounahi. According to the journalist, PSV has already made a formal offer for the Moroccan international from Girona. PSV would now have a good chance of signing the player in question.

According to the Catalan sports newspaper, which relies on 'exclusive information', PSV and Girona FC are in talks to 'finalize the transfer'. The 26-year-old playmaker had previously been considered a top target for Ajax, but the Amsterdam club cannot afford him.

'Eindhoven’s club has taken the initiative and submitted a formal offer. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing and, unless there are surprises or another candidate comes forward, PSV is currently the strongest contender to become the next destination for the Moroccan international,' writes Mundo Deportivo.

After the arrival of, among others, Kodai Sano and Sven Mijnans, it seems that Peter Bosz's squad does not immediately need a player like Ounahi and thus the Eindhovens Dagblad responds as follows to the rumors.

'PSV is still looking at multiple names on the transfer market. Ounahi has definitely been on the radar. But the matter is not currently under consideration in Eindhoven, reliable sources in football report. It costs quite a bit of ping ping. Ounahi is not a cheap bird,' says the Eindhoven newspaper.'

For an Ajax fan on X, a first-class nuisance who can hardly keep the frustrations about PSV to himself almost every day, it’s all a bit too much of a good thing. 'PSV copies Ajax’s scouting again. Man, man man', the Ajax supporter adds, too, to back up his point of view.
