Scottish top club doesn’t really have much to offer him, but PSV also isn’t really asking for much; an English club is also in the picture.
1 min readBesides the incoming transfers of Kodai Sano and Filip Kostic, it also promises to be busy weeks in the area of outgoing transfers at PSV. It is clear, for example, that Couhaib Driouech is on the list to leave Eindhoven.
Driouech still came in during 2024 for around 3.5 million euros from Excelsior, but despite strong competition at left wing, he was never able to force his way into a starting spot. In the 2024/2025 season, the wide winger mainly had to make do with Noa Lang, and last season Ivan Perisic was in that position.
Moreover, talent Amir Bouhamdi was given preference in the duel for the Johan Cruijff Shield with AZ (0-4) over Driouech and, partly due to the return of Ruben van Bommel, it seems the wing attacker is likely to lose his chance of playing time at PSV.
Because of this, Driouech, who has a contract until mid-2029, is on the list to leave Eindhoven. Earlier, Italian club Genoa FC and Spanish side Celta de Vigo have already shown interest in the winger, who would have to generate at least seven million euros.

That does feel a bit like a shoe that doesn’t quite fit, because seven million euros for a neo-international from Morocco with a three-year contract under his belt, plus a handful of classic goals in the Champions League. No, PSV isn’t getting the best out of the cupboard if they were only to receive seven million euros for Couhaib Driouech. On the other hand, it also seems that Rangers FC doesn’t have all that much to offer the forward.
According to transfer journalist Mounir Boualin from Soccernews.nl, RB Salzburg as well has shown interest alongside Rangers FC in the surplus striker. ''Foreign sources report to this website that it is expected that RB Salzburg from Austria and Rangers FC from Scotland will soon make themselves officially known to PSV. At the Philips Stadium, they want to receive the necessary millions for Driouech, who would be open to a possible new step in his career. Both clubs are very charmed by PSV’s winger and want to take on each other in a serious attempt to try to lure him away from the reigning national champions. Sources from abroad report to us that both clubs soon want to make themselves officially known to PSV for Driouech, that is at least the expectation'', Boualin writes on the Soccernews website.
Still, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad, little is known about RB Salzburg's interest, but the ED does know that Rangers FC has made an approach for Driouech. ''Nothing is known about the Austrian interest regarding PSV, but Rangers FC is indeed a serious contender for Driouech'', the Eindhovens Dagblad says about the attacker, who is now also in the sights of Premier League relegated Burnley. According to sources, Driouech would not be keen on a transfer to Burnley. The preference would be for a club at the top level of English football.
