PSV transfers €14 million to Rotterdam and Nijmegen, PSV fans react in surprise
1 min readThings are moving fast the past few days. PSV is certainly not pulling back on the national and international transfer market. There are still a few days until the summer transfer window closes, but a lot is still going to happen. In the meantime, PSV has reached an agreement with NEC and Sparta and will transfer millions of euros to both clubs.
Sami Ouaissa from NEC Nijmegen and Ayoni Santos from Sparta Rotterdam will be going to strengthen the squads of Peter Bosz and/or Stijn Schaars, but both transfers also raise a few questions among part of the fanbase. Critical reactions are being given after the news about both upcoming transfers. Many fans praise both players as well, but the criticism is there too. Whether it’s justified will be seen over time.
The 21-year-old Santos is already on his way to PSV, though a personal agreement still needs to be reached with Sparta’s youngster. Transfer journalist Mounir Boualin is able to report that Santos’s medical examination has already been scheduled.
Santos can play both in midfield and in attack. He played 32 matches in the Eredivisie for Sparta and scored twice. Saturday night, the talent was already not involved with his club in the Rotterdam derby against Excelsior (1-2). Coach Meijer was already able to confirm that his protégé was not on the lesson and was therefore left out of the squad.
As is well known, Sami Ouaissa from NEC has also been added to the squad for a transfer fee of 9 million euros.

Eens. Santos niet in de derby tegen Excelsior omdat hij uit de selectie lag, logisch, maar ik hoop dat hij niet weer een speler is die alleen achteraf bruikbaar blijkt. Wie maakt nu de waarheid: Meijer of de statistieken? 🙄
Santos die op woensdag geblokt is en zaterdagavond niet bij de les was, en dan toch 5 miljoen... lol bruh, risico is wel hoog. Ouaissa voor 9 miljoen vind ik dan weer logischer, maar ok, laten we Bosz maar bewijzen dat ze dit slim zien. 🔥
"medische keuring reeds ingepland" dat is wel snel geregeld. Als die alvast vooruit gaat, dan moet de sportdirectie ook vertrouwen hebben in een fitte selectie, anders is het gewoon gokken. Wat mij betreft eerst duels, druk en rendement, dan pas juichen. 👏

i snap het gesprek, maar 9 miljoen voor Ouaissa vind ik wel flink. Als Santos en Ouaissa dezelfde ruimtes gaan bezetten, wie drop je dan? Anders is het slim doorhalen, maar het moet ook echt spelen opleveren. 🔥
14 miljoen in totaal voor Santos en Ouaissa, tbh dat klinkt als "gepast", maar ik snap wel waarom fans vragen stellen. Bosz gaat echt keuzes moeten maken, anders wordt het weer een stapel talenten zonder duidelijke rol. 👀
