PSV talent responds to departure
1 min readAfter PSV previously put a spoke in the wheel regarding the transfer of Sami Bouhoudane to SC Cambuur, the talent has nevertheless left for the promoted side. Bouhoudane passed the assessment last Wednesday and is therefore now officially a Cambuur player.
The striker has signed a contract with the Frisian club until mid-2029 and hopes to shine in the Eredivisie this season. On PSV’s website, Bouhoudane also discusses his departure from Eindhoven.
''PSV is like a second home to me. I am incredibly grateful to everyone within the club for the trust, the guidance and all the wonderful moments I have been able to experience here. Thanks to the people around me, I have been able to take big steps. I will carry those memories with me as I start a new chapter at SC Cambuur with pride and ambition'', the talent says in the press release.
Bouhoudane trained during the preseason together with the squad of Peter Bosz and was, among other things, on target in the Lichtstad derby against FC Eindhoven (3-0). Nevertheless, Bosz decided that the striker had to return to Jong PSV.
Also due to the fact that there was little prospect at PSV, Bouhoudane decided to continue his career in Friesland. At SC Cambuur, they are in any case looking forward to his arrival. ''It should be clear and, fortunately, that is mutual. Sami has already proven himself in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie and also in this pre-season with PSV 1 he has shown that he has a great deal of qualities. We are very pleased that we have managed to secure him'', said technical director Lars Lambooij on the SC Cambuur club website.

"Die herinneringen neem ik mee" fair play, maar ik ben vooral benieuwd of ze bij PSV hem niet te snel laten vliegen. Met 3-0 in de derby en toch geen kans bij het eerste... dat voelt als gemiste timing. 💀
Keuring doorstaan en dan alsnog weg, maakt het verhaal wel een beetje pijnlijk. Maar ja, PSV wil winnen en Jong PSV is voor ontwikkeling, niet voor afmaken van iemands droom. 🤡
idk of het echt "weinig perspectief" was, maar ik denk dat dit gewoon de harde werkelijkheid van PSV is. Hij trainde mee, scoorde, maar kon het niet omzetten naar een vaste plek. Cambuur krijgt een hongerige spits, en PSV kan weer opnieuw bouwen.
Contract tot medio 2029 bij Cambuur is best lang, dus ze geloven echt in hem. Ik snap de stap wel, weinig perspectief bij PSV en je moet ballen laten spreken. Hopelijk komt hij later terug, anders is het zonde. 👀
Lars Lambooij die zegt dat hij bewezen heeft in de Keuken Kampioen Divisie... prima, maar wij hadden hem ook. Misschien lag het aan de talentenflow, maar dit smaakt naar "net te laat" voor Bosz. 🤡
"PSV is voor mij als een tweede thuis" is echt mooi, maar ik vraag me af wat Bosz precies zag om hem toch naar Jong PSV te sturen. Als hij perspectief mist, dan leer je ook minder snel doorschakelen. 🤔
Die Lichtstadderby 3-0 en dan alsnog terug. Tbh vind ik het vooral raar dat je hem test met PSV 1 en daarna de deur op slot zet voor de Eredivisie-kansen. Als Cambuur hem tot medio 2029 tekent, weten zij tenminste wat ze willen. 👀

Bruh dit voelt toch als een gemiste stap. Keuring doorstaan, dan alsnog naar Cambuur terwijl hij in de voorbereiding met PSV 1 gewoon trefzeker was. Jong PSV als eindstation is echt zuur.
Tbh apart dat PSV hem al terug moest sturen naar Jong PSV, terwijl hij tegen FC Eindhoven wel gewoon goals maakte (3-0). Hopelijk is dit vooral tijdgebrek en geen gebrek aan niveau. 🔥
