PSV missed out on €55 million | These are the details of settled million transfers: ‘€4 million’
1 min readAlso in Germany, the transfer of Joey Veerman to PSV is to be considered a major transfer. Almost all German media have run with the news about Veerman this week, who has now already completed several training sessions with the Bundesliga giant.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports Germany and BILD also report some details from Veerman's contract with Borussia Dortmund. Veerman's salary at Dortmund therefore seems to have been leaked, judging by the details that Sky Sports shares. According to Sky Sports' German arm, the midfielder is making a big step up compared to his years at Eindhoven.
Veerman could be looking at an annual salary of between three and four million euros. At PSV, Veerman’s annual salary would be just under two million euros. For a while, it also seemed that this summer it would not come to pass for Veerman, who also saw four former teammates return from a failed transfer. That is how PSV missed out on forty million euros for Ricardo Pepi, who did not pass the medical examination at Fulham. This summer, Obispo and Nagalo also saw their transfer to respectively France and Turkey fall through, only for Driouch to be seen returning from Scotland as well.
As a result, PSV missed out on as much as 55 million euros in transfer revenue. Veerman has already signed a five-year contract and will generate approximately twenty million euros for PSV after deducting amounts for Heerenveen and FC Volendam. The midfielder has been playing for PSV since the winter of 2022 and has been linked to other clubs in recent transfer windows time and again.
