PSV is nearing an agreement
1 min readAfter two seasons serving PSV, forward Couhaib Driouech is on his way to continue his career at Rangers FC. PSV has, in fact, reached an agreement on a transfer fee of eight million euros, the Eindhovens Dagblad reports.
However, it is up to the attacker to reach a personal agreement with the Protestant club from Glasgow. At the moment, the Scots have the best chances to take over the PSV player, but over the past week Spanish Celta Vigo tried to steal the deal.
Despite this, the Spaniards have not completely given up the fight, according to Voetbal International. In addition to Celta de Vigo, Italian club Genoa FC has reportedly also shown interest in Driouech.
The left winger came in the summer of 2024 from Excelsior to PSV and, due to the fierce competition on the wings, had to rely primarily on substitute appearances. Last season, Driouech still played an important role in the historic victory over Liverpool FC in the Champions League.
As a substitute for Ivan Perisic, Driouech was good for two goals, allowing Peter Bosz's side to win 1-4 at Anfield Road. Even in the home match against Napoli (6-2), the winger was good for a world-class goal.
