PSV front-runner may leave with a good offer
1 min readMore than a year and a half ago, Esmir Bajraktarevic came to PSV from New England Revolution for three million euros. Since his arrival in Eindhoven, Bajraktarevic has mainly had to rely on short substitute appearances and sporadically, the Bosnian has had a place in the starting lineup.
Where the wing-forward for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team is a decisive player, that is not the case at PSV. Last season, the right winger often had to make do with a place on the bench behind the Romanian Dennis Man.
Thanks in part to Man's unpredictability last season, Bajraktarevic was sometimes given a chance to prove himself. But the 21-year-old Bosnian, just like his teammate, was not consistent enough to force a regular starting spot.
Now Eindhoven’s Dagblad is bringing news to light that Bajraktarevic could leave at PSV for a good offer. Thanks in part to the return of Ruben van Bommel and the fact that Ivan Perisic can also play on the right wing, the question is whether the winger has enough prospect of playing time and thus a definitive transfer is not ruled out, according to the local newspaper.
In addition, the club management will go into the transfer market if the winger forward actually leaves. The market value of Bajraktarevic is around eight million euros, but the ED knows that PSV wants to spend more than that eight million.

When the article says he gets only short substitute spells, you can't blame the club for wanting to cash in. Still, i will miss his intensity off the bench, he can be a difference maker 🔥
tbh 8m valuation feels a bit low if PSV wants more. But with options like Man, Perisic and whoever plays winger under van Bommel, its hard to justify giving him a big role now 💯
Ik vind het wel tricky, want Bajraktarevic had momenten waarop hij dreiging gaf, maar hij is nooit consistent genoeg geweest voor een basisplek. Als we minstens 8 miljoen vragen en zelfs hoger willen, doe mij maar een deal en dan gericht iemand halen die direct rendement geeft. 👀
Tbh 3 miljoen voor Bajraktarevic en dan nog vooral bankwarm in Eindhoven... Ik snap het idee om bij een goed bod te luisteren. Met Man terug en Perisic die ook rechts kan, is die kans op speeltijd echt klein geworden.
Perisic on the right and van Bommel back.. that is basically a depth-killer. Bajraktarevic is fast, but at PSV he needs more minutes to grow, not more bench time 👀
If we get around 10-12m for Bajraktarevic it makes sense. Man was inconsistent and still somehow Bajraktarevic couldnt lock a spot, so i get it.
