PSV forward’s loan transfer to England was called off at the last moment
1 min readTowards the end of the summer transfer window, Dennis Man could leave PSV and, on a loan basis, depart for the English Wolverhampton Wanderers, which last season was relegated from the Premier League to the Championship. This is reported by the Romanian outlet TRUmedia.
Man, the player who came over last year from Parma seems for now this season to have to settle for a spot as a substitute in favor of Ivan Perisic and Ruben van Bommel. Moreover, the winger has only just returned from an injury and the Romanian was also on Lazio Roma's list, but the Romans decided to take former PSV player Albert Guðmundsson on loan from Fiorentina.
As a result, the winger remained with PSV, but despite that, Man was close to a move to England. ''Wolverhampton Wanderers held talks with PSV about the Romanian international, with both clubs agreeing on a loan deal. The transfer, however, has stalled due to disagreement over the financial terms for a permanent transfer'', TRUmedia writes about it.
According to the newspaper, several sources claimed that both clubs were already far along in the negotiations. ''The two clubs had reached agreement on a loan arrangement, but the amount that the English side considered to be due for a final transfer at the end of the season was deemed too high'', so it sounds.

This is not the only transfer of PSV that was knocked down this calendar year. In March of this year, Ricardo Pepi seemed on his way to signing a contract with Fulham FC, but that transfer was called off, which means Pepi is still active for PSV.
In July, the transfers of defenders Armando Obispo to RC Lens and Adamo Nagalo to Corum FK were also completed. The transfer of Couhaib Driouech to Rangers FC also did not go through since the Scots decided to pull the plug on the transfer after the medical examination, but Driouech later still managed to secure a transfer to Spanish side Celta de Vigo.
