PSV agrees with NEC on the first of four million-euro transfers, “PSV invests heavily”
1 min readPSV is making significant investments in the final days of the summer transfer window. Multiple media outlets report that perhaps four million deals are on the way.
The club management is going all out in the final days of the transfer period. The club is busy finalizing multiple transfers. This is reported by Eindhovens Dagblad and Voetbal International on Sunday morning. Technical director Earnest Stewart was in recent days specifically for four different players, who in all likelihood will be completed in the coming days.
According to the Eindhovens Dagblad, it’s going to be busy days until 2 September. 'Over the past few days, the Eindhoven club was still being concrete about at least four new names: Sam Lammers (FC Twente), Sami Ouaissa (NEC), Mikkel Bro Hansen (Bødø/Glimt) and Ayoni Santos (Sparta)', reports the regional paper in following of Voetbal International.
Esmir Bajraktarevic and Joël van den Berg will leave the club. Celtic has indicated it wants to sign Van den Berg and PSV wants to receive around four million euros for the player they developed themselves. There is also plenty of interest in Bajraktarevic, especially from Germany. "Many clubs have shown interest in a (loan) deal, but one of them must move quickly in the coming days and persuade PSV to cooperate," the latest update says about the forward from Bosnia.

'Late Saturday night, despite intense talks between NEC and PSV at the Philips Stadium (about Ouaissa), there was still no breakthrough to report', the Eindhoven newspaper says. Also, Bro Hansen appears to be on his way to PSV from Norway. PSV has 'a fairly good chance' of signing him, while there have been 'progress' made in securing Sam Lammers. In short, PSV is going to invest millions to significantly strengthen the squad.
