Politician and also a respectful Ajax fan hopes for Peter Bosz to leave for London: “I have to admit that PSV…”

1 min read

The match between Ajax and PSV from last Saturday evening stirred up a lot, if not a great deal, of dust. In any case, tempers seem to have calmed down somewhat after a round of European football last week, but some key players have still been hit with a lot.

Meanwhile, Ruben van Bommel has continued doing what he is good at; staying unflustered, playing fantastic football, plus putting on the penitent’s robe. Ruben van Bommel turns out to be a real Van Bommel, although we actually already knew that. Self-critical, then, alongside unflustered. Ruben van Bommel is simply on his way to the international top, via PSV.

The editors of PSV Inside came across a special post in recent days. A special post from an Ajax player, at the same time a politician, or perhaps better said a former politician. People of that kind always choose their words carefully, but what stands out is that Amsterdammer and Ajax player Lodewijk Asscher, a PvdA man, is not particularly upset about the incident involving Ruben van Bommel and Bouwman. Lodewijk Asscher has simply watched a great match; let things be, and also sees that Peter Bosz is of crucial value to PSV.

Asscher seems to want to hint at sinister plans by London’s top club. The PvdA-Amsterdamner hopes that Tottenham Hotspur will make an attempt during the winter break to take Peter Bosz from PSV. Lodewijk Asscher writes this on X.

Is Tottenham Hotspur the new club for Peter Bosz? Probably not, but we can’t rule it out either.

"In the stadium you can see how well Julian Brandt plays. Bizarre", Asscher said, referring to Ajax - PSV. In addition, he gives a compliment to two players from his club: Aaron Bouwman and Jorthy Mokio, who in his view played a 'great match'.

Tolu Arokodare, who scored the equalizer against PSV, may well appeal to Asscher. "Pure quality", says Lodewijk Asscher, who in the meantime has also taken in that Bouwman, who was hit quite hard, is already recovering quickly and hard from his injury. Fortunately, we add, of course.

Asscher can’t get around it any more than many others; PSV is better than his Ajax. PSV 'has an 'excellent team'. 'Hope that Bosz goes to the Spurs in the winter', writes the former politician about the beleaguered London top club. Ruben van Bommel also receives compliments, but Asscher does think, though, that the winger 'should have been sent off 100%' for his much-discussed clash with Bouwman. Well, most of the Netherlands thinks so, except for Johan Derksen. But yes, who is Johan Derksen really...?

I think Asscher is surprisingly balanced for an Ajax guy. He praises Bouwman's recovery, calls Mokio and Bouwman a "prima wedstrijd", and still admits PSV is better. The only thing i side-eye is the certainty about Bosz leaving, imo that's just him stirring up headlines in London.

If Tottenham really comes for Bosz, that is peak winterstop drama. Wat Brandt deed tegen ons was trouwens inderdaad bizar, no cap.
