Parisian euros appear to be being invested in Noa Lang

The season of Noa Lang at Napoli has completely failed. The season in the south of Italy lasted only about 6 months as well, because then the parties decided that it was better to invest in a loan arrangement. And so it seems the future of Noa Lang lies in Naples, but nothing could be further from the truth, because Lang is in the clear interest of Ajax.

This summer, Galatasaray decided not to make use of the purchase option in Lang’s contract, causing the forward to have to return to Naples again.

Napoli, however, is done with Lang, and that can be called both astonishing and surprising. Napoli therefore hopes to say a definitive goodbye to Noa Lang this summer. The former PSV player seemed to be getting a second chance at the Italian top club after the departure of coach Antonio Conte, but according to Voetbal International, Lang has meanwhile been offered to various clubs.

Noa Lang, now 27 years old, was taken over by Napoli from PSV a year ago. Napoli paid almost 30 million euros for Lang. It wouldn’t, however, be a great success for the winger’s stay, because Lang and coach Conte couldn’t get along.

Conte has meanwhile been replaced by Massimiliano Allegri, but the new coach also does not really seem to be keen on a collaboration with Lang. Voetbal International reports that Lang has meanwhile been 'put on display'. AS Roma had doubts about a transfer, but because coach Gian Piero Gasperini of the Roman club 'was not fully convinced', AS Roma did not move forward.

Napoli is asking for 25 million euros for Lang, which means that a loss worth millions is in the offing for the top South Italian club. "In recent weeks, that option has already been offered to some clubs by Napoli," Voetbal International reports. A loan structure is also, according to the weekly magazine, up for discussion, provided that it includes an option to buy 'that is automatically triggered based on certain performances'. In the meantime, Noa Lang is also being mentioned at Ajax as a possible successor to Mika Godts.

Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain are well on their way to an agreement, putting Lang immediately in the spotlight of the Amsterdam club. Several media outlets reported this on Monday evening. Ajax has now fully thrown its weight behind the arrival of Lang in Amsterdam. That may come as a surprise, but in some ways it is not. Ajax is throwing money at the deal and appears not to be looking at an extra euro or less this summer, as well as the fact that the Amsterdam club is also investing millions of euros in players who do not immediately have the best resale value after the end of their contract in Amsterdam, which is certainly not insignificant.
