News regarding the departure clause of a shareholder: 'PSV has taken control of matters after the weekend'

Despite the news that Borussia Dortmund would be interested in Joey Veerman, the Germans have still not contacted PSV. PSV watcher Rik Elfrink reports this on behalf of Eindhovens Dagblad.

Mounir Boualin from Soccernews.nl wrote namely that BVB would have interest in picking up Veerman from Eindhoven. ''The German giants would themselves see Veerman as a good next step. That is reported by German sources to SoccerNews. Dortmund is considering internally making a serious attempt for the Volendam playmaker of the Eindhoven team,'' Boualin had written earlier.

Elfrink also has news about the release clause of the midfielder. The power player of PSV, just like among others Sergino Dest, has a release clause that allows Veerman to be picked up for a certain amount by PSV.

The PSV-watcher reports that the clause for Veerman will soon no longer be valid. ''The transfer clause for Joey Veerman expires in a couple of days already. Clubs have had all summer to take him over for +/- 20 million. After the weekend, PSV has taken control of the situation'', Elfrink writes on X.

Despite the news from Boualin about BVB’s interest in Volendam, nothing concrete has happened so far. “Borussia Dortmund (via Soccernews) has not reached out to PSV yet,” said Elfrink.
