1 min readThat the transfer market for PSV is getting off to a slower start this season is an understatement. The club management appears to be working cautiously and reservedly this summer. Even so, there’s still a lot to happen in the coming weeks—also when it comes to outgoing transfers.
Players such as Guus Til, Mauro and Joey Veerman can still leave, but the club management is first focusing its sights on the departure of other players. If everything works out in Genoa, Vigo and Enschede, then PSV can expect millions of euros in the coming days or weeks, which would then automatically allow them to return to the transfer market.
Besides the interest that PSV has shown in Filip Kostić and Lutsharel Geertruida, the question remains as to what will happen to Couhaib Driouech, Joël Drommel and Isaac Babadi. The last two mentioned will normally leave, and a departure is also one of the possibilities for Driouech.
Drommel was loaned by PSV last season to Sparta Rotterdam and, barring any surprises, will head for the exit due to competition from Matej Kovar and Nick Olij. Earlier this week, news emerged that FC Twente has made contact with the goalkeeper about a possible return.
Celta Vigo is interested in Driouech
Van Driouech is known for the wing forward wanting to make more minutes in the 2026/2027 season. However, due in part to the fierce competition on the left wing, the chance seems fairly small that the attacker will still have any prospect of playing time.
Driouech would also be in the spotlight of Celta de Vigo from Spain and Genoa FC from Italy. However, it is unclear whether these clubs want to acquire the PSV player permanently or only want to loan him.
It was already soon clear that Isaac Babadi would not get a place in Peter Bosz's squad for the 2026/2027 season. Last season, Babadi was loaned by PSV to Royal Antwerp FC, and even there the midfielder couldn't make much of an impact.
Now the club management at PSV wants to make a definitive transfer for the youth player who made his debut in 2023 and was predicted to have a bright future. Earlier, it became known that promoted team Willem II could have an interest in Babadi.

"normally, will be on his way out" but PSV still drags these situations a bit too long. get it done, because Couhaib, Drommel, and Babadi all need starts, not training sessions. ⚽
"it remains to be seen" is right... but from this trio it sounds like two are basically out and the third is stuck behind the depth chart. 🤬💀 Better to sell and actually fund the squad than keep hope alive.
Babadi being pushed for a definitive transfer is the most logical one here. If he couldnt make an impact at Royal Antwerp on loan, selling to a club like Willem II feels like the best career move. Smh...
Babadi situation is the most worrying one to me. After Antwerp it looked like he still does not fit Bosz plans, so pushing for a permanent move to Willem II is probably the right call, but it feels like we are losing patience too early.
I feel bad for Driouech, but Bosz left wing competition is brutal. If Kostić and Geertruida are part of the plan too, where does he even fit. Hope Genoa or Celta take him even if its a loan. 🔥
Drommel to Twente makes sense tbh, if Kovar and Olij are ahead of him again. dont let him rot on the bench, goalkeepers need rhythm. 👀
Driouech wanting appearances is fair, but the left wing competition at PSV is brutal. Celta or Genoa could make sense, but i doubt they pay big money for a player with uncertain minutes, so another loan again? 🤡
If Twente are really "in contact" for Drommel, imo we just accept he is depth and move on. With Kovar and Olij already ahead, giving him minutes somewhere else is the only sensible play.
