Galatasaray in the spotlight with an offer of 30 million euros | “Hit hard for a year”
1 min readIn Turkey, especially in Istanbul, they keep trying. Players from PSV move to choose the Turkish top clubs. The clubs from the million-people metropolis at least have staying power, because they keep trying, even though it still seems futile.
Fenerbahce makes attempt after attempt to persuade players from PSV to choose the Turkish top club, but both Joey Veerman and Mauro Junior proved to be beyond reach. In the meantime, it is Galatasaray that acts naively and believes that players from the Eredivisie who have not yet been written off would want to play for the Turkish top clubs. The same applies to Ricardo Pepi: there is no interest in an employment contract with Galatasaray.
Ricardo Pepi has other plans and wants to stay at PSV so that, after one year, he can truly start banging in as the first striker.n The Turkish record champions had reportedly, according to unconfirmed reports, set aside a sum between 25 million and 30 million euros for the American striker at PSV, but according to De Eindhovens Dagblad, that amount is too low and hopeless.
According to PSV watcher Rik Elfrink, Galatasaray has no chance of prying Pepi away from PSV. “Pepi himself would like to have a big season here, and the amount ‘Gala’ has in mind (25-30 mln.) is too low. For now, not an option,” the journalist from Eindhovens Dagblad writes.

At the World Cup, Pepi wanted to make himself stand out for top clubs, but the interest surrounding the American did not grow. Even at the final tournament, he still had to make way for Folarin Balogun. Galatasaray may have wanted to sign Pepi as a replacement for Victor Osimhen. The Turks have received a bid of 130 million for the Nigerian striker. Osimhen, in turn, would then have to become the successor to Marcos Leonardo, who left for Ajax.
