Bild brings update regarding interest in PSV player
1 min readLast week, news emerged that Paul Wanner is attracting interest from, among others, Real Madrid and Liverpool FC. That was reported by journalist Ekrem Konur, and this week the outlet TEAMtalk wrote that FC Bayern München would be considering bringing Wanner back to Munich.
PSV would estimate the value of the midfielder, who was acquired from FC Bayern for fifteen million euros last year, at approximately 45 to 50 million euros. That Der Rekordmeister would be interested in bringing the Austrian international back is, in a sense, notable.
Despite this, the German newspaper BILD reports that Wanner is not in the picture to return to FC Bayern. This denies the rumor that previously appeared in Polish media about a possible return to the Bundesliga.
The club from South Germany does have the option to buy the PSV player back at any time, but according to FC Bayern watcher Christian Falk, the club’s management is not considering that at the moment. The midfielder is still tied to PSV until mid-2030.
According to Falk, Wanner will first have to succeed at PSV before he makes a move abroad. Whether Manchester City and Liverpool FC have the German-Austrian midfielder at the top of their list is not reported by the journalist.

Wanner wil eerst slagen bij PSV, peak mindset. Als hij de rol pakt op 6/8 en goals of assists gaat pakken, dan maken we die 45-50 gewoon meer waard. 🚀
"niet in beeld om terug te keren" klinkt lekker, maar die clausule is wel scary. Als Liverpool of City echt bovenaan staan, dan kunnen die later wel ineens toeslaan. PSV moet snel doorpakken met contractverlenging als het seizoen top gaat. 🙄
Ekrem Konur en BILD die allemaal "update" roepen... tbh het blijft vooral gedoe in de media. Christian Falk zegt dat de leiding nog niet terugkoopt en dat klinkt als "niet nu". Voor mij moet Wanner eerst gewoon aantonen dat hij in Eindhoven de motor blijft, daarna pas buitenland. 🔥
i dont buy the hype. Bayern kan hem op elk moment terugkopen, maar ze doen het nu blijkbaar niet. Als Wanner nog tot 2030 vastligt, dan is het voor PSV gewoon: prijs omhoog en focus op presteren. 👀
45-50 miljoen voor Wanner lijkt me serieus, maar als Bayern hem echt wil terughalen dan moet PSV ook hard onderhandelen. Goed dat BILD zegt dat hij niet in beeld is, dat geeft ons rust. ⚽
