An unnecessary PSV player speaks out after the loan transfer: “Then you’re glad”
1 min readEven during the preparation it became clear that coach Peter Bosz would not have a place for midfielder Isaac Babadi in his squad. Three years ago, Babadi made a dazzling debut for PSV and in addition, the '10' jersey was predicted to have a great future.
Three years later, the situation is completely different for the former talent. Last season, Babadi was already loaned out to Royal Antwerp FC without success, and it was also made clear fairly quickly that, in principle, there is no future for him at PSV.
The club was keen to cooperate on a departure, and now Sparta Rotterdam is the one that is going ahead with the midfielder on a loan basis. In doing so, Babadi takes the reverse route compared to Ayoni Santos, who is instead coming from Rotterdam-West to PSV.
In contrast to the club channels of the Kasteelheren, the hired PSV player responds for the first time to his transfer. ''It all happened very quickly'', begins Babadi.

The redundant midfielder had also almost come to terms with simply staying in Eindhoven. ''I had almost resigned myself to staying with PSV, but at the last moment there was interest from Sparta. Then you’re happy—you’re full of joy and you’re secretly already in the city. Then you’re wearing the shirt already. I just still had to wait a little, for the medical assessment and such. Now I’m finally allowed to put the shirt on,'' Babadi said.
