Ajax - PSV | Noa Lang in the starting lineup against PSV?

Noa Lang is again in the spotlight for Ajax. This is reported by the Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. The Amsterdam club see in Lang once again an option to fill the position of left winger.

The Amsterdam club does not have the resources to pay Noa Lang but appears to be looking to use a lease arrangement. According to the Italian transfer expert, Ajax has, again in the past twelve hours, gotten in touch with the Italian top club for the Oranje international and former PSV player.

Romano reports that Napoli is still taking into account a possible departure of Lang. Sporting director Giovanni Manna would have already given his approval for a temporary departure of Lang.

"Be careful, because if, for example, a good offer comes with the right terms... Let me tell you a detail: in the past twelve hours, Ajax has made contact again. Ajax has again contacted the agents of Noa Lang and with Napoli, so this option is open again", the Italian transfer expert said about Noa Lang, in such a way that he could suddenly be at the kick-off of Ajax - PSV.

PSV plays on Saturday evening at 20:00 in the Johan Cruijff Arena against Ajax. Last season it ended 2-2 in stoppage time.

PSV booked its third consecutive win in the Eredivisie on Sunday afternoon. The reigning champions quickly went behind at Stadion Galgenwaard against FC Utrecht, but Ruben van Bommel, Guus Til (2X), Mauro Júnior, substitute Sven Mijnans and Sergino Dest ensured PSV still won easily for three points: 1-6.

FC Utrecht, which held on to one point across the first three league matches, nonetheless got off to a flying start in front of its home crowd. On an assist from Niklas Vesterlund, striker Artem Stepanov scored. For the young Bayer Leverkusen loanee, it was already his third goal of the early campaign.

PSV’s response didn’t take long in the Domstad. Van Bommel, who was also a big standout against FC Groningen last week (5-1), received the ball at the edge of the penalty area and struck powerfully. The ball flew in uncontrollably into the far corner.

PSV grew stronger and pushed Utrecht further back into their own half. The waiting was for the lead. In the end, it came right at the stroke of halftime. Guus Til pulled the trigger, on the cue from Dest.

After the break, it remained (too) long tense for the formation of coach Peter Bosz, because PSV for a long time failed to convert its dominance into goals. Maúro Junior brought relief a quarter of an hour before time. The Brazilian curled a free kick in very beautifully.

Striker Sven Mijnans initially failed to extend the lead further. His penalty, after a foul by goalkeeper Vasilios Barkas on Paul Wanner, hit the post. Almost immediately afterwards, Mijnans still found the net, from the edge of the box into the top corner. It means his first Eredivisie goal for his new club. Till and Dest even scored in stoppage time for 1-5 and 1-6.

Thanks to the impressive win, PSV now has ten points from four matches, two fewer than error-free leaders AZ. Utrecht remains stuck in the relegation zone, with 1 point from 4. Next Saturday, the heavyweight clash between Ajax and PSV is scheduled in Amsterdam. Utrecht hosts Go Ahead Eagles.
