Ajax fans point to the “desired” Noa Lang; PSV fans react strikingly

The future of Noa Lang has suddenly become a topic of discussion in the Netherlands as well now that Ajax may be threatening to sell Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain. Ajax could possibly set its sights on Lang.

Incidentally, Noa Lang's previous season at Napoli was completely unsuccessful. The season in southern Italy lasted only about 6 months, because after that the parties decided it would be better to opt for a loan arrangement.

Therefore, Noa Lang headed to Istanbul, to the Turkish metropolis where it is pleasant to be, but football-wise it also was not a great success. Galatasaray decided not to make use of the purchase option in Lang’s contract, meaning the forward had to return again to Naples.

Napoli, however, is done with Lang, and that can be called both astonishing and surprising for the time being. Napoli therefore hopes to say farewell for good to Noa Lang this summer. The former PSV player seemed to be going to get a second chance at the Italian top club after the departure of coach Antonio Conte, but according to Voetbal International, Lang has meanwhile been offered to various clubs.

Noa Lang, now 27 years old, was taken over by Napoli a year ago from PSV. Napoli paid nearly 30 million euros for Lang. A big success, however, would not be the winger’s time there, because Lang and coach Conte couldn’t get along.

Conte has meanwhile been replaced by Massimiliano Allegri, but even the new coach does not really seem to be keen on a collaboration with Lang. Voetbal International reports that Lang has now been 'put on display'. AS Roma had doubts about a transfer, but because the coach Gian Piero Gasperini of the Roman club was 'not fully convinced', AS Roma did not proceed.

Napoli is demanding 25 million euros for Lang, which means a loss of millions is looming for the Southern Italian top club. "In recent weeks, this option was already offered to some clubs by Napoli", reports Voetbal International. A loan arrangement is also considered feasible according to the weekly magazine, provided that it includes an option to buy 'that is automatically triggered when certain performances are met'. Meanwhile, Noa Lang is also being mentioned at Ajax as a successor to Mika Godts.

On social media, it has meanwhile been coming and going with reports and posts about Noa Lang and a future at Ajax. Fans of the Amsterdam club are loudly calling for Lang’s arrival, while PSV fans react strikingly mildly and see Lang as a real PSV man. Where Lang was mostly mocked by numbers of PSV fans, it now seems that people are being more gentle and grateful for the period of Noa Lang as a PSV player.
