“A half year after leaving, former PSV top talent can already leave temporarily again”
1 min readLast winter, top talent Ayodele Thomas decided to close the door at PSV behind him and go in search of his fortune at RB Leipzig in Germany. Thomas also had an expiring contract, and PSV received several millions for the attacker.
Now Sky Sports Deutschland reports that the former top talent of PSV after half a year already (temporarily) may leave again with the team from the former DDR (East Germany). RB Leipzig would, according to Sky, be open to a loan in the hope that the talent will get a lot of minutes.
PSV wanted to continue working with Thomas themselves, but the forward decided to leave Eindhoven on his own. Despite the fact that the talent has not yet made his official debut for RB Leipzig’s senior team, Thomas is nevertheless training with the first team.
The attacker himself would not be longing for a (temporary) departure. However, with the right offer, he would be open to looking for his fortune somewhere else temporarily.
For now, it is still unclear whether there are actually clubs that have an interest in loaning Thomas from RB Leipzig. The striker previously also played for Feyenoord’s youth teams.

Hope he gets minutes, but honestly this screams 'next youth hype' then fade. Still, respect that PSV took a few tons, better than letting a contract run out for free 💀
It's a shame because PSV wanted him to stay, but he chased the move. If he ends up back in a rotation role again, maybe the real problem is fit, not quality.
"RB Leipzig zou volgens Sky openstaan voor een verhuur" sounds like they want to test him in another system. Get him to play, not to be a warm-up guy 👀
Half jaar later alweer tijdelijk vertrekken... bruh thats wild.
If Leipzig want him on loan to get minutes, that suggests they still dont see him as ready for the first team yet. Dont blame the player, but imo PSV could have used him as a squad option sooner.
Tbh this is just standard development-business. As long as he gets minutes, fair, but PSV selling while he never broke through feels a bit risky.
