These PSV players could be in action on Thursday

In Europe, the first matches of the Nations League will kick off Thursday evening. A number of possible PSV players could also be in action.

Among other things, the match Netherlands - Germany is scheduled for 20:45. For the Netherlands national team, PSV players Ruben van Bommel, Lutsharel Geertruida and Guus Til have been called up by head coach Xavi Hernandez, and the question is whether the Spaniard will actually also reach out to the PSV trio.

In a possible debut by Van Bommel, for the first time in fourteen years there will again be a Van Bommel in Oranje. On 13 June 2012, father Mark played, as captain of the Netherlands national team, in the second group match against Germany (1-2) at the Euro in Poland & Ukraine, in which the former midfielder was replaced at halftime by Rafael van der Vaart.

During the last group match in 2012 against Portugal, Mark stayed on the bench for the entire match and, due to a 2-1 defeat, Oranje were eliminated with no points from three matches. After the European Championship, the midfielder announced that he would stop playing as an international.

In addition to this trio, it is also possible that Paul Wanner will be in action on behalf of Austria. The Austrians take on Israel at home at 20:45 in the Nations League.

On the other side of the world, there are also friendly international matches on the menu, and a possible return in the Japanese national team is beckoning for midfielder Kodai Sano. Sano was not selected for the World Cup last summer and could see action when Japan takes on double world champions Uruguay in a friendly at 12:05 PM Dutch time.
