''We had known Ismael for a while. But the final signal that he is the right player for Bayern was the match between PSV and us. He caused problems again and again with his speed and versatility, even though we won. He has something special. We kept an eye on him. At a certain point, it became clear that we wanted to make a move to strengthen our attack. Both signings, Nathaniel Brown and Ismael, show that we want to increase our flexibility,'' the TD says.

Eerlijk, ik snap de Bayern move wel, maar "teken dat hij de juiste speler is" klinkt alsof ze al bijna zeker waren. Saibari bij PSV had juist die vrije rol om te prikken. Bij Bayern is het tempo ook hoog, maar ga je daar wel dezelfde ruimte krijgen? 😅
"Ze hielden hem in de gaten" ja logisch... Saibari maakte telkens het juiste extraatje. 👀 Maar ik vind het wel goed dat hij bij Bayern nu kan groeien onder Kompany, intensiteit lijkt me echt zijn type, goated keuze.
Max Eberl zegt dat hij Saibari al kende, maar dat PSV tegen Bayern het kantelpunt was. Als je ziet hoeveel problemen hij met tempo gaf, dan begrijp je het. Toch had ik verwacht dat PSV hem nog meer had kunnen doorontwikkelen als hij hier nog 1 seizoen had gebleven.
Man, dat zinnetje van Max Eberl over "PSV tegen ons" doet echt pijn... Saibari was gewoon lastig, snelheid + veelzijdigheid. Maar als je Bayern pakt, gaan ze natuurlijk altijd doorzetten. Hopelijk krijgt hij bij Bayern genoeg speelminuten, anders was het eigenlijk vooral show voor Bayern.
