Sponsor extended relationship with PSV
1 min readIn 2019, PSV launched a unique sponsorship structure under the name Brainport Eindhoven. Among others, Jumbo Supermarkten, VDL, ASML, Philips and High Tech Campus Eindhoven joined under this name, which symbolizes the region’s strength, and last year Rabobank also joined.
In 2020, a new company already joined the Brainport partnership earlier: namely Royal Swinkels. This agreement with the brewery has been extended through 2031.
That has been made known by PSV on the website. ''The extension with Royal Swinkels once again confirms the strength of our cooperation in the Brainport region. As PSV, we are proud of the role we are allowed to play as a connector between sport, business, and society. With partners such as Royal Swinkels, we continue to build a sustainable future for our club and our region'', says commercial director Frans Janssen on PSV's website.

Rabobank joining the Brainport setup last year plus Swinkels locked in to 2031, that's good news for long-term planning. Hopefully it helps them keep scouting and youth moving forward.
Brainport Eindhoven as a sponsor umbrella is clever. It feels like PSV is leaning into the region identity, and that is exactly what you want from a club like this.
"Verbinder tussen sport, bedrijfsleven en maatschappij" is a very PSV line. If it helps the club financially and keeps the academy and squad growing, I am all for it.
As a PSV fan I get the pride in being
Cool structure, but I do wonder how much of this actually shows on the pitch. We want trophies, so I hope these partnerships translate into investment in squad depth.
Jumbo, VDL, ASML, Philips, High Tech Campus, Rabobank, and now Swinkels through 2031. That's basically the whole Eindhoven map. Curious how much of that translates to our commercial strength compared to rivals who are more aggressive on sponsorship deals.
Royal Swinkels being extended all the way to 2031 is a solid sign of stability. I like that Janssen talks about building connections between sport and the region, not just money.
Royal Swinkels getting extended again makes sense, but I still wonder how much money these deals really bring compared to the big sponsorships from abroad. The wording is nice, but I want results too.
Brainport Eindhoven partnership is honestly a smart move. Frans Janssen wording about being a connector between sport and business fits PSV, not just a corporate PR stunt. Royal Swinkels renewal is a good sign the region still backs the club hard.
It sounds great, but I still want to see this turn into on-pitch quality too. Sponsors are nice, yet PSV has to keep building squads that can go deep in Europe. Hopefully this money flow actually shows in transfers and wages.
Honestly love the Brainport angle. Getting big names like ASML and Philips involved makes PSV feel bigger than just matchday.
Love this kind of long-term thinking from PSV. The Brainport link with ASML, Philips and now Rabobank feels like more than just money, it's identity. Royal Swinkels running to 2031 also gives some real stability behind the scenes.
I love that PSV is not just about the pitch but also building with Brainport. Jumbo, ASML, Philips and now Royal Swinkels until 2031 is a strong lineup.
