PSV talent speaks out about words by Peter Bosz: “Here, adult football is played”
1 min readLast season, Noah Fernandez made his debut with PSV’s first team, and the young Belgian now forms part of coach Peter Bosz’s senior squad. The latter previously told Voetbal International in a cynical way that Fernandez was, at the start, an arrogant and irritating little man.
The midfielder, in conversation with that same outlet, indicated that he feels good at PSV. In addition, the Belgian also addresses the statements that Bosz has made about him.
''That I can understand, I always wanted to laugh and have fun. Here (at the first, red.) it’s a bit different; you can’t play childish football. Here, adult football is played, and I’ve learned that too, although I find it super fun to dribble and make someone look crazy on the pitch'', Fernandez tells about the words of Peter Bosz.
Last season, the young Belgian made his debut in PSV’s senior squad, and now Fernandez wants to fight for a spot in the starting lineup. ''I think I’ve shown that I can keep up with the lads. I just have to keep that up now. The pressure is off now; I want to fight for a place in the starting XI. If you train and play together a lot, you quickly get used to each other. I feel a lot of trust from the club,'' the talent continues.

During the home match against FC Bayern München (1-2) in the Champions League on 28 January, Fernandez was allowed to come on for Dennis Man. The midfielder looks back on that as well.
''The feeling of playing a half against Bayern, I can hardly describe, but in the end it’s just 22 players running after a ball and it’s all not that exciting. That’s especially the case when you’re only just getting started. After that, you go along with the level and with the boys, although I have to say that after 45 minutes against Bayern I was really exhausted'', said the young Belgian.
